Performing (size) inclusion
My thoughts on why I think the fashion industry has no interest in being (size) inclusive, but also why I still believe that change is possible.
Karoline Vitto was one of the few brands that showcased size inclusivity on the latest Spring/Summer 2024 runways shows. Listen below as I discuss my thoughts on why I think the fashion industry has no interest in being (size) inclusive, but also why I still believe change is possible:

Questions to consider:
Can we incentivise the fashion industry to adapt and evolve?
Is it possible for us to become a driving force for change, encouraging the industry to produce clothing that caters to a broader range of body sizes and shapes?
Can we challenge these established norms and foster a fashion industry that truly celebrates diversity and inclusivity?
While there's undoubtedly room for improvement within the fashion industry, I wanted to shine a spotlight on a recent collaboration between Creative Director Abisola Omole and Net-A-Porter. In this series, she wore a selection of designer pieces available on Net-A-Porter, that accommodate larger body sizes. Her style not only exudes elegance but also serves as a driving force for positive change within the industry.
Until next time, Susan xx
